There are two types of preachers in Churches today! Notably Preachers of the gospel and Motivational preachers.

Preachers of the gospel preach like their Master Jesus Christ. They preach repentance and righteousness as the foundation of all things, which Jesus laid, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 3:11-12, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ".

It is also written "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." ( 2Timothy 2:19)

The foundations of Christ are repentance and righteousness as written in Matthew 4:17, "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

In Matthew 6:33 he said "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you".

At the end of his ministry he commanded that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem (Luke 24:7).

Repentance, forgiveness of sins, righteousness, restitution are the emphasis, the goal or objectives of faithful gospel preachers.

Like Paul the apostle they make the Felixes of this world to tremble by preaching righteousness, temperance and judgement to come. To people like Festus and Agripa they speak the word of truth and soberness. (Acts 26:25).

Like prophet Nathan, they rebuke the backslider, adulterous, murderous king David (2 Samuel 12:1-15) and like Jonah they preach judgement to the wicked Ninevites (Jonah 3:1-4).

True preachers of the gospel do not make the wicked or the sinner to laugh in their sermon, rather they make them sad or mourn for their sins so that they will repent and obtain mercy from God to escape the judgment of God here and eternal hell.

They do not major on preaching prosperity or success to the sinner rather like Jesus they tell them, except ye repent ye shall likewise perish (Luke 13:3) and like Peter they preach "repent ye and be converted that your sins may be blotted out (Acts 3:19). They warn, rebuke and preach against sin in people's life.

But motivational preachers preach the contrary. They make the sinners or the wicked to laugh and be comfortable in their sins. They are careful not to offend them with their sermon . They only make them smile, laugh and be happy in spite of their sins while God is angry with them and hell is wide open to receive them when they close their eyes in death.

They make them to ignorantly drop in hell while laughing and smiling in their sermons. They teach them only how to prosper and succeed on earth but they do not teach them how to repent, be sanctified , live holy and prepare for heaven.

They are enemies of the cross of Christ hence their messages are void of it. Their glory is only in prosperity and earthly success in any vocation. To them gain is godliness as the Bible said in Philippians 3:18-19, "For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things". Their end is destruction!

God speaking of these motivational preachers said, "Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord" (Ezekiel 13:22-23).

These motivational preachers has the judgement of God upon them for God said in Ezekiel 3:18
"When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand".

These motivational preachers together with their congregation whom they deceive will be eternally destroyed in hell if they don't repent because "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death". (Proverbs 16:25).

Therefore are you a motivational preacher or gospel preacher, similarly is your pastor a gospel preacher or motivational preacher. If your pastor or preacher is a motivational preacher run for your dear life, he is an agent of Satan to send you to an eternal hell.

If you are living in sin (fornication, adultery, drunkenness, lying, stealing, pornography, LGBT, yahoo! Yahoo! hatred, malice, evil speaking etc., repent and pray this prayer -

Lord Jesus I am a sinner, I have sinned against you, forgive my sins and come into my life now because I believe you died for me and rose from the dead for my justification! Give me the power to sin no more, in Jesus name I pray Amen.

Let your goal be righteousness or holiness and your destination heaven. Remember "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out" (Timothy 6:6-7).
